Dear CCSD21 families,

As winter break begins, we want to share a quick message of appreciation. This has been a year of unprecedented challenges. Thanks to your flexibility, understanding, and support, we have been able to navigate these challenges together.

On behalf of the entire CCSD21 team, this short video recognizes the incredible support our parents have provided our students and staff. Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do this school year to support our learners!

This winter break will be different than any winter break of the past; we hope you find moments of fun and relaxation with your household.

Have a safe and happy winter break … and Happy New Year!

Winter Break

Winter Break runs through Friday, January 1, 2021. As a reminder, Monday, January 4, is an Institute Day – meaning no school for students.

School will resume – virtually – for all students on Tuesday, January 5.

Monday, January 18, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day – no school for students and staff. The first possible day for in-person students to return to in-person learning is Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Family resources

Our Parent/Family Support site has an archive of resources to support learning from home, social and emotional growth of children, and parenting during a pandemic.

The latest additions to the site are slideshows in English and Spanish – “Making the Most of Winter Break“. Find fun ideas to keep the whole family engaged in activities throughout Break!

Crisis Text Line

The Crisis Text Line is a free national resource for support in processing any type of crisis or stressor – managing remote learning, anxiety, depression, loneliness, thoughts of self-harm, and more. Text HOME to 741741 from anywhere in the United States, anytime 24/7, to connect with a crisis counselor.

Remote learning can be hard. While we’re keeping everyone physically healthy, remember that mental health matters, too. Students can text SCHOOL to 741741 to connect with a Crisis Counselor. Free, confidential, 24/7.
