Important weather-related information for families

Dear London Families,

We had a great start to school this past week! Students and staff were excited to be back in session and we are all looking forward to a productive and memorable school year.

On a weather related note… I just wanted to remind you that at the school level, we closely monitor weather conditions and potentially make adjustments to outdoor after school activities, as well as moving physical education classes indoors if it is too hot outdoors. The forecast for the next few days calls for warm weather, potentially pushing into the 90’s. If the weather conditions are extreme, we will move activities indoors, as well as encourage students to drink plenty of water to help stay hydrated.

With the exception of our two gymnasiums, our school is air conditioned. As a result, we typically do not need to make any changes to our schedule due to weather conditions. Please know the final decision for students attending school on warm days is yours.  If a parent chooses to keep a student home due to the weather, please let us know and it will be counted as an excused absence.
