Work has already begun on several projects across Community Consolidated School District 21 as students and staff enjoy their summer break.
While construction bid packages were approved for seven schools earlier this year, all of the district’s 13 schools will have some form of construction underway over the coming months. These projects are crucial for creating a better learning environment for our students, improving safety measures, and enhancing the overall infrastructure of our schools.
To ensure these projects are completed successfully, the district previously announced it would extend the summer break until Aug. 28. This will give construction teams the required time to finalize their work, ensuring each school is ready to welcome students in a safe and optimal manner.
