Students to remain in DLA until in-person request is approved

Topic: Student Learning

The following message was sent to CCSD21 families of DISTANCE LEARNING ACADEMY (DLA) STUDENTS only through ParentSquare, the district’s notification tool. DLA families who did not receive this message should contact their school’s main office to ensure their contact information is up to date.

Dear CCSD21 DLA families,

We hope you had a restful Spring Break.

As a reminder, principals are currently evaluating the requests made by DLA students to return to school in person. If your family requested a transfer from DLA to in-person instruction, your child will remain in the Distance Learning Academy until you receive confirmation from your child’s principal for the transfer. The transition to in-person instruction for those whose requests are approved will happen no sooner than Monday, April 12. All DLA students are expected to continue engaging in school virtually until they can be accommodated in person, meaning current DLA students should not arrive at their school in person tomorrow.

DLA families that did not request a transfer to in-person instruction can disregard this message; virtual instruction will continue as usual.

Thank you.
