We are experiencing an apparent water main break at Longfellow Elementary School.  The District and Village of Buffalo Grove Public Works are on site working to determine the source and cause of the break and estimated time for repair. It is possible that repairs and restoration of water service to Longfellow will not be completed by the start of the school day tomorrow, Wednesday, August 31.  

We hope to be able to make a final determination on our ability to open for classes by 10:00 PM tonight and will send an additional communication via ParentSquare at that time.  

We are sending this initial alert to provide families with additional time to make alternative arrangements in the event that we are unable to open Longfellow Elementary School as planned tomorrow morning.
