Message from the Principal
At Jack London Middle School, we are dedicated to providing all students with a supportive environment to learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Through our focus on Authentic Learning and Inclusionary Practices, students become owners of their learning and engage with other students locally and globally while being appropriately challenged and feeling a sense of belonging within the school community.
Working together as a school community, we are proud that London was recently re-designated as a “School To Watch” by the Association of Illinois Middle-Grade Schools. The “School to Watch” designation is given to those schools that demonstrate academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organizational structures and processes designed to support and provide the best experience for a middle school student. We are very proud to receive this designation as it reflects our continued commitment to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of every student at London. For more information regarding the Association of Illinois Middle-Grade Schools and the designation, please visit their website at Association of Illinois Middle-Grade Schools.
Our commitment to students at Jack London Middle School and District 21 is reflected in the programs and offerings we have for students and families. From our challenging academic curriculum designed to meet the needs of a wide range of learners to embedding social-emotional learning, our focus continues to be on developing the whole child as they make their transition from childhood to adolescence. Our goal is to provide our students and families with the best middle school experience possible.
Together with parents and community members, we can partner to make sure our students are prepared to be lifelong learners and productive citizens.
