Eligibility

Students must be in attendance at school, at least, one-half day (11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) prior to an evening or after-school function in order to participate in it. Exceptions to this policy may only be made by the building administration. If a student leaves school early because of illness, that student should not expect to participate in any after school activity. Students who have been “in” or “out-of-school” suspended may not be eligible to participate in activities that school day.

All students who are able to demonstrate respectful citizenship, good academic standing, and are in attendance are eligible to represent Jack London Middle School in school extra-curricular activities.

Academic/Behavioral Ineligibility

Students who do not demonstrate respectful citizenship, or are not in good academic standing, may be excluded from participating in school-sponsored activities. The building administration, in conjunction with the teacher(s) and the activity sponsor(s), may deny a student the privilege of participating in school extra-curricular activities.
