Choir is a safe place for students to grow as musicians and singers, but most importantly as confident and mature individuals. Signing allows for students to develop as positive contributors of society. Singing in a choir teaches students important life skills such as collaborating with others, appreciating different people’s strengths and working off of their weaknesses, and communicating with others in an understandable way. In a world where technology takes the place of face-to-face dialogue and emotions, singing in a choir allows for students to exercise this way of communicating. Students learn how to express their emotion in a positive and productive way.
